Arsenal press conference blame Mikel Arteta on Liverpool draw, Ramsdale, Xhaka and the title

Mikel Arteta is set to face the press after Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool. An unbelievable game that could have gone either way.

Arsenal began the game in the most beautiful of all fashions. Gabriel Martinelli ran onto the end of a desperate Virgil van Dijk back pass to poke the ball past Alisson in the opening ten minutes.

Liverpool returned with a period of possession but couldn’t take any of their glimpses at goal. So the Gunners decided they’d grab a second with Martinelli crossing over Van Dijk again and Gabriel Jesus rose to head down and past Alisson.

However, Liverpool were able to get one back before the break. Mohamed Salah got on the end of a mishit shot from Jordan Henderson after Diogo Jota’s cut back.

The second half began with great drama. Rob Holding brought down Jota in the box for a penalty which Salah somehow passed past Aaron Ramsdale’s right post.

Liverpool kept pushing and pushing and eventually with minutes to spare the home side got the equaliser. Alexander-Arnold managed to chip across the box for Roberto Firmino to head in.

Aaron Ramsdale earned the man of the match in the final moments of the game. His saves kept the Gunners their point at Anfield in what was an incredible game.
