Report: Arsenal named as ‘admirers’ of Serie A highly rated star ahead of Tottenham

Il Romanista have revealed that Tottenham are eyeing a move for Lazio superstar, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, during the summer transfer window.

Milinkovic-Savic has been one of the standout midfielders in Serie A for the best part of a decade and the Serbian continues to produce for Lazio, having managed seven goals and eight assists across all competitions this


The attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to Spurs on many occasions over the years, with the most recent such report coming from CaclioMecatoWeb in August of last year.

Il Romanista suggest that a number of clubs, including Tottenham, are now alert to Milinkovic-Savic’s situation, with the player set to enter the final year of his contract in June.

The report states that the Lilywhites could face competition from their North London rivals, Arsenal, and Juventus for the Lazio star’s signature.


It is explained that despite Milenkovic-Savic’s contract situation, Lazio are not prepared to sell the midfielder on the cheap this summer and are willing to risk the possibility of him leaving on a free transfer in 2024.

At the very least, Spurs will wait until the verdict of Paratici’s appeal on April 19 and should the Italian’s ban not be overturned, the club would have to rip up any plans that they had made for the summer.
