Arsenal handed Douglas Luiz transfer twist as Kylian Mbappe race blown wide open

Arsenal signed off on a difficult run of fixtures with a huge win over Burnley on Saturday, with the November international break now here. Goals from Leandro Trossard, William Saliba and Oleksandr Zinchenko handed the Gunners all three points to keep them in the title race.

A red card for Fabio Vieira may be the only blight from that fixture, with the midfielder now set to miss three games of action. That will not be ideal for Mikel Arteta, who is already battling with injury troubles as a whole host of stars continue to require the treatment table.

Douglas Luiz transfer problem

Arsenal are facing two key issues in their hopes of signing Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz, according to a report from the Metro. The report claims that the first of those is the fact that the Villains are not open to receiving any offers for the Brazilian in the January transfer window.

The second issue is that the Gunners are trying to work within the constraints of Financial Fair Play rules, meaning they may not be able to afford the move.

Kylian Mbappe deal

Arsenal could be handed a huge boost in the race to sign PSG striker Kylian Mbappe in the summer transfer window as he nears the final months of his contract. Real Madrid are the current favourites to land the Frenchman, but may not be able to afford such a switch.
