Arsenal Enter final talk to sign 23-year-old high rated star in January
Arsenal Transfers: Gunners interested in Genoa defender Radu Dragusin
As the January transfer window approaches, Arsenal are reportedly exploring defensive reinforcements, with Genoa’s 21-year-old sensation Radu Dragusin emerging as a prime target.
The Romanian international is a towering, versatile centre-back who has been a consistent presence in Genoa’s Serie A campaign this season, playing every minute and recently scoring a spectacular volley against Hellas Verona.
Italian journalist Mirko Di Natale has revealed that Arsenal, alongside Newcastle, Tottenham Hotspur, and AC Milan, are closely monitoring Dragusin’s progress.
The young talent made a move to Genoa from Juventus last year, and a potential transfer fee of around €40m (£35m) has been speculated.
Dragusin boasts an impressive track record, accumulating 54 appearances for Genoa while also representing Salernitana, Sampdoria, and Juventus in the past.
Standing at 1.91m tall, Dragusin brings a commanding presence to the defensive line, earning praise for his warrior-like approach.
With Jurrien Timber sidelined due to injury and Arsenal facing depth issues at the back, Dragusin could serve as a long-term solution while providing immediate cover for right-sided defenders William Saliba and Ben White with Takehiro Tomiyasu playing as a left back this season.
