Arsenal agree to pay £53m to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad
Italian encourages Arsenal to sign£53 million La Liga target‘would be fantastic signing’
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been urged to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.
Arsenal were looking to add a few more players to the side during the Summer window and were heavily linked with a move for the impressive Zubimendi – who has been very good over in La Liga over the past few seasons
In the end however, ARSENAL made the decision to move for a few other players and opted to not splash the £53 million it would have taken to bring Zubimendi to the Premier League.
However – they have continued to keep an eye on the young man and According to Sport Witness – uncertainties about his future at the Spanish club have arisen, with his representatives now open to exploring new opportunities for him.
Now – Italian Journalist Romano has opened up and said on Caught Offside:
“My personal feeling is that Zubimendi would be fantastic, even if Amadou Onana and Douglas Luiz have the advantage of both already knowing the Premier League.
“Zubimendi is fantastic player, he can help with his vision, quality and intelligence on the ball – he’s the perfect midfielder.
“Still, it’s important to say that he’s very happy at Real Sociedad, only focused on his club and he already rejected chances to leave in the recent years as he always

Zubimendi has been brilliant for Sociedad over the past few seasons and we can easily see why the Gunners scouts too such an interest in the man, he really has been impressive.
He may want to stay at Sociedad for now – but if ARSENAL come calling at the end of the season and agree a fee with the Spaniards – he could find it very hard to turn down a move to the Emirates – especially with the way the club are playing right now.
