Campbell dismisses criticism of Arsenal attacker Havertz

Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has dismissed doubts around Kai Havertz.

Campbell is adamant Havertz will prove himself in a Gunners shirt.

He said: "There were times when people were calling out Granit Xhaka by saying 'he is rubbish'.

"Next minute, Granit Xhaka is a legend. Why? Because he came through and played in Arteta's system, then did really well in his last season.

“Don't tell me a Champions League winner isn't good enough for Arsenal. Nonsense. I am not having it.

“You said 'he isn't good enough for Arsenal'. I am saying that Kai Havertz is good enough for Arsenal. Arsenal just haven't been good enough themselves right now. We were top of the league with Kai Havertz in it!"
